It is saddening when veteran film stars of Hindi cinema leave for their heavenly abode, leaving a void in all our hearts. Now, veteran film star Satinder Kumar Khosla, also known as Birbal Khosla took his last breath on Tuesday evening. The actor, aged 84, was admitted in a Mumbai hospital.

Birbal Khosla dies due to cardiac arrest

Reported by India Today, the Sholay star’s death happened due to a cardiac arrest and his last rites will be performed today, on 13 September. The tragic news of this loss was informed by his friend, Jugnu.

Birbal is well known for his comic characters. Especially. he is known for the role of a prisoner with a half moustache in the renowned film, Sholay. His role made him earn praise and appreciation. He was very well known fir his comic characters and distinct looks. It was in 1967, when Birbal made his acting debut in the film, Upkar. Khosla is known for working in more than 500 films including those in Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri and Punjabi. He has played an active part in films like Dil, Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, Sadma, Charlie Chaplin and many more.

Birbal Khola’s notable work

Well, not just this, Khosla has worked alongside veteran stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini and many more. Speaking of his last film, Birbal was seen in 10 Nahi 40, a 2022 film. The stage name ‘Birbal’ was given to him by Manoj Kumar and Raj Khosla. Since then, he has been known by his stage name.
