Shraddha Kapoor Cried With Brother Siddhanth Kapoor During Alleged Dr*g Case, Protests Outside Shakti Kapoor’s House; Aunt Tejaswini Kohlapure Reveals

Shraddha Kapoor’s Tejaswini Kolhapure (Shraddha’s maternal aunt) reflected on a particularly challenging incident during the drug bust case that led to her brother Siddhanth Kapoor’s arrest. She recounted an emotional moment when Shraddha Kapoor was overwhelmed as political party workers shouted slogans outside their residence during Siddhanth’s dr*g case.

Tejaswini Kolhapure Reveals Siddhanth’s Name Is Highlighted Due To His Family Name

Tejaswini explained that Siddhanth, the son of Shakti Kapoor, was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She recalled the 2022 incident in Bengaluru, where Siddhanth was detained for allegedly consuming dr*gs at a high-end hotel rave party. “Siddhanth has been in the wrong place at the wrong time. And because he belongs to this family, his name gets highlighted,” she told on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast. Siddhanth had claimed that he was offered a drink at the party where he was DJing. He was subsequently released on bail.

Tejaswini shared that her family’s efforts to support Siddhanth began immediately. “The first time it happened, my husband and I went to get him out because he was with his friends. And we knew all of them,” she said. She also pointed out that the media exaggerated the incident, stating, “His name was everywhere in the papers. It really damaged his reputation.” When asked if Siddhanth was truly involved in drug use, she firmly affirmed, “Of course not.”

She further explained that Siddhanth’s reputation as a globally working DJ suffers whenever he is linked to such allegations. “People are judgmental about the company you keep,” she noted. She also recalled an incident when a political protest was held outside their house, which had a significant emotional impact on the family.

“The way they got affected, it was terrible. One day, a political group was shouting slogans outside the house. Shraddha and Siddhanth were crying inside. Unfortunately, this was blown out of proportion. They were really affected,” she said.

What Happened?

In November, Siddhanth appeared before the Mumbai police to record his statement in connection with a Rs 252 crore narcotics case related to the seizure of mephedrone at a factory in Sangli in 2024. He was summoned after his name emerged during questioning of an alleged narcotics supplier.
