India’s ace badminton player Saina Nehwal married boyfriend Parupalli Kashyap in a court marriage. Parupalli is India’s finest male shuttlers and is also the childhood friend of Saina. Today, after tying the knot, the couple took to their social media handles and shared first pictures of themselves as a married couple.

Soon after Saina shared this great news with her fans and followers, congratulatory messages started pouring in for this newlyweds. Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor was amongst the first one to extend her heartiest wish for Saina and Parupalli Kashyap.

Even ‘Andhadhun’ actor Ayushmann Khurrana congratulated Saina and Kashyap on their marriage.

Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play Saina Nehwal in her biopic. The biopic is being helmed by Amol Gupte. Interestingly, a month back it was revealed that badminton player and musician Eshan Naqvi will be starring opposite Shraddha in the biopic. Eshan will be essaying the role of  Parupalli Kashyap in the film.

Reportedly, Saina and Kashyap were dating for around a decade but chose to focus on their respective careers before deciding to take the plunge. Previously talking about her relationship with Parupalli, Saina had told Indian Express, “We started travelling for bigger tours from 2007-08 onwards. We played tournaments together, trained together and slowly, started paying more attention to each other’s matches. In the competitive world that we live in, it is difficult to get close to someone. But somehow we both found it very easy to talk to each other, talk about our matches. The feeling gradually grew.”

Now, it has to be seen whether the makers of Saina Nehwal biopic will incorporate this new chapter of the player’s life in the film or not.
