Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 Not Getting Postponed; To Clash With Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar 2 On August 1

Released on July 18, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-led Saiyaara had taken the box office by storm. The intense musical love story – directed by Mohit Suri, has already amassed nearly Rs 100 crore domestically over its opening weekend, leading to a couple of films postponing their release dates. While the success of the YRF film has led to Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar releasing a week later (moved from July 25 to August 1), the release of Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 will see no delay.

As per reports, Dhadak 2 is sticking to its original release plan – August 1. As per the insiders, the makers of the tragic love story – starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, are sticking to the date they initial zeroed in on owing to the strong early reactions they have received regarding the chemistry of the lead pair.

The soundtrack of this intense love story is already gaining major traction with its first track – Bas Ek Dhadak, already making it to several playlists. The film’s second track – Preet Re which was released earlier today, also is also receiving loads of love from all quarters. This film isn’t looking over its shoulder – it’s clear about what it’s bringing to the table: a fresh love story, raw emotion, and undeniable chemistry.

Dhadak 2 has been directed by Shazia Iqbal. It’s produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh under the banners of Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. Dhadak 2 is set to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025.
