Shershaah: Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer FINALLY gets a release date

Bollywood filmmakers have been announcing release dates one after the other this week. Many movies have locked their dates for a theatrical release. From Ranveer Singh starrer 83 to Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom, they all are soon to release in the theatres. Now, Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah is one of the most awaited movies and it is all set to hit the theatres in July this year.

Shershaah is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee and Kargil Martyr Captain, Vikram Batra. Sidharth will be seen in a double role in the movie as he will star as Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal. Sidharth will share screen space with Kiara Advani for the first time in Shershaah and their fans are very excited to see the rumoured love birds together. Kiara Advani will play Batra’s girlfriend Dimple.  Cheema.

Sidharth took to his Instagram handle and shared posters of Shershaah revealing the release date. His caption read, “The untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is all set to unravel on the big screens. #Shershaah coming to theatres near you on 2nd July, 2021. See you at the movies!(sic)” Kiara also shared the posters of her movie.

The movie has been shot in places like Chandigarh, Palampur, Kashmir and Ladakh. The film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan, a popular Tamil director. Earlier, Shershaah was to release in the theatres on July 3, 2020, but due to the pandemic, its release got postponed.
