‘Simmba’: 5 things we are looking forward to in Ranveer Singh-Sara Ali Khan starrer

2018 is coming to an end and this year has been quite special for Bollywood. This calendar year, we have seen films like ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Stree’, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ doing pretty well at the box office. This year has taught us that content matters a great deal and you need to be creative and original.

Now, Rohit Shetty directorial ‘Simmba’ is releasing this upcoming Friday (December 28). Let’s look at 5 things we are expecting from this masala entertainer.

1 Ranveer Singh is back in his elements:

Ranveer Singh has had a perfect year on and off the screen. The 33-year-old’s year started with a humongous blockbuster in ‘Padmaavat’. In November, he married the love of his life Deepika Padukone.

In ‘Simmba’, after a long time, Ranveer can be seen in his elements. The actor, over the last 3-4 years, has done some hard-hitting films and it is his chance to finally be in his comfort zone. Ranveer Singh in ‘Simmba’ is really enjoying himself and the film is a welcome break for all his fans. Ranveer Singh is creating a legacy for himself in the industry and if ‘Simmba’ works, then he will further solidify his position at the box office.

2. Is Sara Ali Khan the future of Bollywood?:

The daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh had a wonderful debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’. Sara’s acting was appreciated by critics and audiences alike and ‘Simmba’ could prove that she is in it for the long haul.

Sara Ali Khan comes across as honest, hardworking and hungry for success. If ‘Simmba’ clicks with the masses then we could have a new star in the making.

‘Simmba’ raises an important question about crimes against women and their safety. But, will it be another cliched film and old wine in a new bottle? Ranveer Singh is a versatile actor and he will be definitely bringing his skill set to take the problem of women’s safety head-on.

In the times of the #MeToo movement, ‘Simmba’ hopefully doesn’t glorify the issue of women safety and maintains a balance between entertainment and sensitivity.

In the trailer of ‘Simmba’, we all saw Ajay Devgn appearing in his ‘Singham’ character. If Ranveer and Ajay have some scenes together, then it will truly take the film to the next level. ‘Simmba’ is an out and out blockbuster and having these two superstars in one frame will do wonders for the film.
