Bollywood’s Fashionista Sonam Kapoor recently released a sneak peak of her upcoming biopic on her Twitter page. The Diva will be depicting the role of the late flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who was killed while trying to save the passengers of a hijacked Pan Am airplane. Sonam Kapoor, has already started shooting for the biopic.

Sonam shared a picture of her look dressed as the flight attendant on Twitter. Sonam has revealed a cropped picture, which only displays her uniform with a name tag bearing the name N. Bhanot.

Neerja Bhanot was a senior 23-year-old flight attendant on the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73, which was hijacked by four heavily armed terrorists after it landed at Karachi at 5 am from Mumbai on September 5, 1986. After 17 hours of being trapped, the hijackers opened fire and set off explosives. Bhanot opened the emergency door and helped a number of passengers escape before being shot down while trying to shield some children from the guns of the hijackers. Following the incident, Bhanot was recognized internationally as “the heroine of the hijack” and is the youngest recipient of the Ashok Chakra Award.

The movie is being produced by Atul Kasbekar, under his celebrity management company ‘Bling’, along with Fox Star Studios.
