The recent orders from censor board chief Pahlaj Nihalani, to reduce the kissing scene in James Bond film ‘Spectre’ from 30 seconds to 8 seconds has irked a lot of people, especially from the industry. The censor board chief received a lot of flak with veterans from the industry like Shyam Benegal saying that the censorship should be abolished. The ‘Dabaang’ actress Sonakshi Sinha has also joined the bandwagon by criticizing the censor board’s decision.

In a recent report, Sonakshi Sinha urged the Censor Board to stop playing the role of a nanny. She said, “Whoever is playing nanny should first kind of rewind back and see the films that they have been making and then kind of figure out and decide what is to be done.” Though she didn’t mention Pahlaj Nihalani directly in her quote but it was undoubtedly directed to the chief.

Apart from Sonakshi, Aamir Khan too made it to the headlines today when he called censor board aggressive. He expressed his concern with Censor Board’s recent aggressive stance and said, “If a film is certified adult then you should be able to show pretty much everything because an adult can decide if he or she wants to watch the film. There is no censorship required after certification. That’s our understanding of certification.”
