Karan Johar’s multi-starrer period drama ‘Kalank’ released on 17th of this month. Despite so much hype and promotions, the movie failed to live up to the expectations of the audiences and critics alike. The movie opened with good numbers and it got the biggest opening of 2019 by far. But alas! it didn’t receive a good response at the box office on weekends. Sonakshi Sinha, who played the role of Satya Chaudhry in the movie, spoke about the box office failure.

While speaking to Press Trust of India(PTI), Sona said, “Every film is important to me. I hope, wish and pray every film does well. It is bad luck that the last couple of films did not work out.”

She also said that she doesn’t lose hope and always looks forward to do her best. “I pick up films very instinctively. Box office is not in my control, as an actor I have control over my performance and acting. I don’t stress over what is not in my control,” said the actress.

The ‘Dabangg’ actress also said that every film has taught her a lot irrespective of whether they have done well commercially or not.

On the work front, Sonakshi will be next seen in ‘Mission Mangal’ that has Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar. Also, she will appear in ‘Dabangg 3’ opposite Salman Khan.
