About the US-Iran Conflict
Tensions in the Middle East escalated after the US and Israel launched a joint strike against Iran. What started as an Israeli preemptive military attack against Iran soon escalated into proxy conflicts, with Iran targeting US bases in the region and the US and Israel supporting pro-Iranian militant groups. Several key Middle Eastern cities, including Manama, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, and Amman, reported explosions as Iran’s Revolutionary Guard confirmed strikes on US facilities in retaliation.
Amid ongoing tensions, the UAE announced that it will begin operating ‘special flights’ from its airports to help stranded passengers depart. Dubai Airports confirmed that limited operations will resume, allowing a small number of flights to operate from Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), as the Dubai media office announced.
