The song, featuring Sonam Kapoor alongside Salman Khan, was an instant hit when it was released in 2015. At the time, it sparked a wave of Dubsmash videos, with fans and celebrities alike recreating Sonam’s iconic hookstep from the music video.

Nearly a decade later, the song continues to be a fan favourite, so much so that it has now crossed the coveted billion-views mark on the platform. Reacting to the two milestones, Sonam expressed her joy over the continued love for both songs. “I still remember when the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track was released—what a time it was! The Dubsmash videos were everywhere. It totally broke the internet. We had the best time shooting for it—it honestly feels like it happened just yesterday. I’m so touched that people still love the song… it really means a lot!” she said.

Speaking about Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, she added, “This has always been one of my favourite songs from my career—and it still makes it to my dance playlist! I remember letting my hair down and just having the best time shooting the music video. It brings me so much joy to see that the song continues to be a popular party anthem even today.”

If that weren’t enough, Sonam’s high-energy dance number Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai from her film Khoobsurat has also crossed 1 billion views on YouTube. Sung by Badshah and Aastha Gill, the track remains a party anthem. It continues to feature in countless dance playlists and DJ mixes.
