Sonu Sood REACTS To Viral Helmetless Bike Ride Video After Spiti Cops Initiate Action Against Him – Watch

Actor Sonu Sood faced criticism after a video of him riding a motorcycle without a helmet in Spiti Valley went viral. The clip showed him riding shirtless through snowy roads, wearing only shorts and sunglasses. This raised concerns about road safety, and soon after, the Spiti Police announced that they were investigating the incident.

Sonu Sood Responds To Spiti Valley Viral Video

Sonu Sood responded to the controversy on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He clarified that the video was part of a scripted scene from an old shoot. He wrote, “Safety First. We always abide by the laws, an old clip without the helmet was a part of our script. So kindly ignore it. RIDE SAFE. RIDE SMART. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET.”

While the viral video showed him riding without a helmet, other clips from the same trip show him wearing one. To support his clarification, Sonu also posted a recent video where he is seen riding a motorcycle with a helmet, along with other bikers.

Spiti Police also shared a statement on X. They said that the video appeared to be from 2023 and showed a Bollywood actor breaking traffic rules in the Lahaul-Spiti district. They added that the investigation had been assigned to the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Kyelang to verify the video’s authenticity.

This is not the first time Sonu Sood has spoken about road safety. In April 2025, he shared a video about the importance of seat belts, especially for passengers in the back seat. He revealed that his wife Sonali Sood, her sister, and her nephew were in a serious car accident in Nagpur. Fortunately, they were wearing seat belts, which helped protect them during the crash.

On the professional front, Sonu Sood was last seen in the film Fateh, where he starred opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and also served as the director. In January 2025, he appeared in the Tamil movie Madha Gaja Raja, alongside actor Vishal.
