The wait is finally over! Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor starrer The Archies teaser is here. The Archies teaser was unveiled during Netflix’s Tudum event in Brazil on Sunday. The Zoya Akhtar directorial also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina. The upcoming film promises the tale of ‘friendship, love and heartbreak’. The teaser looks exciting and will leave you wanting for more.

The Archies teaser out

The teaser of The Archies began with a glimpse of Riverdale – a quaint hill station. Set in 1964, the coming-of-age, live action musical set is based on a group of friends. We get a glimpse of every single actor’s character in the film. The Archies gang play music, dance, and enjoy to the fullest. Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi fall in love and face heartbreaks.

Netflix India shared the teaser on Instagram. It captioned the post, “You’ve seen them in comics, in books, and in Riverdale – but this around, you’ll see them in India! Set in the 60’s, The Archies builds a world that’s both familiar and new. Here’s your first look #TUDUM!”

Reacting to the post, a fan commented, “Loveeeeee this.” Another fan dropped a comment saying, “this was surely the throwback we needed.” “always an archies comics fan! This gotta be good broo,” wrote a fan.

Earlier in a conversation with the CEO of Archie Comics, Jon Goldwater, Zoya Akhtar opened up about The Archies. She said, “We have set in the Anglo-Indian community in India and can’t wait to transport you to the magical, fictional town of Riverdale. The story revolves around the interpersonal relationship within the seven characters and their shenanigans. I tried to retain the original vibe of the comic, but did feel a lot of pressure since Riverdale had already come out. It is super exciting to take these beloved characters and introduce them to a new generation but still keep the nostalgia of the original comic alive.”
