In a recent interview with India TV, when the host quizzed the actor if Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra were scared of him on the sets of ‘Darr’, Sunny replied saying, “I guess, they must be scared because they were wrong.”

While explaining about the tiff between him and Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny said, “I was doing a scene in the film where Shah Rukh stabs me. I had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried explaining that I am a commando officer in the film, my character is an expert, I am very fit, then how can this boy (Shah Rukh’s character in the film) beat me easily. He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while I am looking at him, then I won’t be called a commando.”

Sunny Deol has been always vocal about his experience of working with Yash Chopra. The actor often spoke about his disagreement with the director. In an earlier press interaction, he had said, “At the end of the day, people loved me in the film. They loved Shah Rukh Khan as well. My only issue with the film was that I did not know they would glorify the villain. I always work in films with an open heart and believe the person. I believe working with trust. Unfortunately, we have many actors and stars who don’t function in this manner. Maybe that’s the way they want to get their stardom.”

On the work front, Sunny Deol was last seen sharing screen space with Karan Kapadia in the film ‘Blank’.
