In an interview with Newslaundry, Swara was speaking about the nepotism fiasco going on in the industry. Swara said, “If you have so much love and concern for outsiders, watch our films in theatres.”

To explain her point she said that if you compare the box-office collections of Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Trapped’, Irrfan Khan’s ‘Karwaan’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ to films like Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Dhadak’, ‘Student Of The Year 1 and 2’, one will understand her point.  She said that it’s people who love to watch star kids more. She said, “This kind of individual name calling is not a helpful conversation at all.”

Well, Swara has turned the tables of the conversation that has been consuming more than half the internet right now.

Till then you guys stay tuned to this space for more updates.
