Tamannaah Bhatia is on a roll, signing one big project after another. After her recent buzz-worthy appearance in the item number from Raid 2 and landing a lead role in Anees Bazmee’s No Entry 2, the actress has now joined another major film. According to PeepingMoon.com, Tamannaah has been signed for Rohit Shetty’s upcoming biographical action drama starring John Abraham.

In the film, John plays former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, and Tamannaah will portray his wife, Preeti Maria. This marks the second time John and Tamannaah are working together, following her brief role as his wife in Vedaa last year.
As per PeepingMoon.com sources, “Preeti has been a constant pillar of strength for Rakesh, supporting him through some of the most dangerous and testing moments of his career and taking care of their family while he was at the forefront of protecting the city from terrorists. Her role is integral to his narrative, and Tamannaah is thrilled and honoured to bring this character to life.”

The movie is based on Rakesh Maria’s autobiography, Let Me Say It Now, and it will be Rohit Shetty’s first film based on a true story. Known for his fictional cop films, Rohit is now diving into real-life events with this powerful story. The film will showcase Rakesh Maria’s 36-year career, including major cases like the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the 26/11 attacks, and the Sheena Bora case.
Filming began in Mumbai and will take place across 40 city locations. The team plans to wrap up by August, with a theatrical release expected early next year. An official announcement is coming soon.
