Rajkummar Rao, who has never failed to impress us with his talent, turned 33 yesterday. The ace actor has always proved his mettle by essaying various characters on screen with such finesse one after the other. Never has he given us a reason to complain about his acting prowess. So as he completes yet another year of success, Rajkummar opened up about how he used to celebrate his birthday when he was not a star and the best gift he has ever received.

Talking about his birthday memories from childhood, he stated to Hindustan Times, “There would be friends from all over and there would be a big party the way they happen in small towns. It used to be exciting with those endless birthday gifts that I would get.”

When asked about the best gift that he has ever received, the ace actor quipped, “I must have been seven or eight and I was so thrilled to get this uniform, as I am a big fan of the uniform and armed forces. That was a very special moment and I remember roaming around wearing that uniform for three days, feeling like an army boy.” Well, that’s the best memory one can cherish for lifetime.

On the work front, Rajkummar is currently winning praises for his recently released film ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. He has impressed one and all including Amitabh Bachchan who has sent him a hand-written letter appreciating his performance in the film.
