The entire nation is locked down in order to stop spreading of the novel coronavirus. While the daily wage workers are most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the government is trying their best to help the netizens to survive this difficult time. On the other side, Bollywood celebrities are also contributing to their capabilities in order to support the government’s initiatives. Varun Dhawan recently made a donation of a huge amount towards PM Narendra Modi’s initiative PM-Cares Funds.

Ever since the lockdown was announced in the entire nation, the ‘Street Dance 3D’ actor has become quite active on his social media handles. He has been constantly appealing his fans to stay indoors and he has also been spreading the awareness on COVID-19. Varun Dhawan was seen inspiring netizens to follow the lockdown for 21 days. As the pan India lockdown has already affected countries’ economy, Varun made a donation of 55 Lakhs total between PM-CARES Fund and CM Relief Fund.

Earlier he had taken to his Twitter handle and shared with his fans that he is planning to donate an amount of 30 lakhs for PM-CARES Fund.

He had also posted about his pledge of donating 25 Lakhs to the Maharashtra CM’s relief fund

Bollywood celebs such as Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Hema Malini, Rajinikanth, and few others have also made the donations for India’s fight against COVID-19.
