Varun Dhawan Saroj Khan

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will next be showcasing their sizzling chemistry in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, the songs of which have already started to become chart busters. The makers of the film recently came up with the song ‘Tamma Tamma Again’ which is the reprised version of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Tamma Tamma Loge’.

While the number has been loved by everyone, there is one person who is upset with it. And it is none other than the choreographer of the original song, Saroj Khan. While the makers went on to involve Madhuri and Sanjay in the promotions of the song and also showed it to them before its release, the veteran choreographer wasn’t even contacted. This is when a furious Saroj, in an interview said, “Maybe, they think that Masterji (referring to herself) has become old and Madhuri Dixit hasn’t. That’s why they have called her.”

While the makers of the film kept away from speaking about it, Varun recently spoke about the whole matter and responded to Saroj ji by saying, “I would want to apologise to Saroj Ji, but it wasn’t in my hands. I didn’t have her number and I don’t know her personally. I had asked dad (David Dhawan) for her number, but by that time he had gone to London. I know this in not an excuse. I really take her as an inspiration and even her songs. I know Sanjay sir and Madhuri ma’am, so I took that lead.”

He added, “I told Bosco (Tamma Tamma Again choreographer) but he was a little nervous. I agree that the song is hers as much as of Sanjay sir and Madhuri ma’am. She is the one who’s behind the original song and she deserves all the credit and she has all the rights to get upset with us.”
We hope Saroj ji forgives the team.
