Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal have been grabbing headlines these days thanks to speculations surrounding their upcoming marriage. While the couple is yet to address these rumours, but with each passing day, details of their wedding are surfacing.

Rumours are rife that the couple will be having an intimate wedding in Alibaug on January 24. And the latest report suggests that Varun and Natasha’s first pre-wedding ritual will take place in Mumbai. Read on to know the details.

As per Pinkvilla report, Varun and Natasha will have a typical Punjabi wedding. However, owing to the Covid-19 scare it will be an intimate affair. Before leaving for Alibaug, Varun’s family will visit Natasha’s family at their Juhu residence for ‘chunni chadana’ ceremony.

Talking about the first ritual, a source close to Dhawans’ told the portal, “The members of the groom’s family will visit the bride’s household with jewellery, gifts, sweets and a red-coloured outfit like a saree or lehenga-choli, along with a red chunri. The red chunri is placed over the head of the bride by her to-be mother-in-law. This ceremony is called chunni chadana which will happen in Mumbai within the families.”

Reportedly, the lovebirds and their families are expected to leave for Alibaug on January 22. Interestingly, Varun’s uncle Anil Dhawan has refuted these wedding rumours. “Wow, I am surprised. They are marrying this month, and we didn’t know? Are they going to invite us at the last moment? Itna secret rakh rahe hai kya (laughs!)?,” Anil told Bombay Times.
