The movie Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva directed by Ayan Mukerji, starring Ranbir Kapoor in a key role emerged as a commercial success. The first part ended on a cliff hanger that suggested the Brahmastra Part 2 will be focused on Dev, a character in the movie. Actor Vijay Deverakonda is making headlines for being approached by the makers of Brahmastra Part 2, to play the role of Dev.

Since the release of the part one, the fans and audience are eagerly waiting for an announcement from the makers, in regards to the second part. Recent reports suggested that Vijay Deverakonda was approached by the makers to play Dev in the part 2 of Brahmastra. A new report on the same suggests otherwise.

According to a latest report in ETimes, the Liger actor is not approached for the role of Dev. A source in the report said, “Does anyone even believe these fantasy vomits? If I was a writer I would be too tired to laugh. Let them select one hero every three days for Brahamastra 2. The team will make its announcement when they find the actor.”

Meanwhile, previously, there were rumours that KGF Chapter 2 actor Yash was approached by the makers for the role of Dev. Amid speculations around the character of Dev, Hrithik Roshan, Yash, and Ranveer Singh have been actors who are reportedly playing the role of Dev. However, as of yet, neither filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, nor Dharma Productions has issued an official confirmation on the matter.

Talking about Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, the movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. It also sees Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance. The film was released on September 9 and made a massive box office collection, for the post pandemic era, finally releasing on an OTT platform. Brahmastra is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
