Yash finally REACTS to the rumours of doing Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt

Seems like the epic Ramayana has become the topic of discussion in the Indian film industry at the moment. Firstly, Om Raut came with his retelling of the epic, Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. Then, the version of Ramayana being helmed by Nitesh Tiwari has been in news, especially for its alleged casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Yash.

In the last few weeks, there have been many speculations of Yash being a part of Nitesh’s Ramayana. First it was about him being approached to play Ravan, then it was him saying no to the role. While many reports were coming in, there was never any official word on it. However, Yash has now finally reacted to those rumours.

Yash on being a part of Ramayana

The actor became a huge pan-Indian star following the success of the KGF franchise. Thus, there is huge excitement to see if he does a Bollywood film. Recently, when he visited his hometown Mysore with wife Radhika Pandit and kids, he answered some burning questions of media. The actor reacted to the news of coming to Bollywood, and being approached to play Ravan in Ramayana alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He said, “I have not gone anywhere… my work has made everyone come to me.”

Update on Yash 19

The fans have been eagerly awaiting Yash’s next release. While an announcement was expected on his birthday this year, he asked his fans to wait a little more. His next, tentatively titled Yash 19, hasn’t yet been officially announced, but Yash did give an update on it. He said, “People pay their hard-earned money to watch a film. I value that money. We are working with earnestness and dedication because the whole country, in fact, the world, is watching. I am aware of that responsibility. We have been working hard for a really long time and what we are putting together will make everyone happy. It will happen very soon. As I’ve said already, it is my responsibility to make them happy and I will try and fulfill it.”

He added, “I haven’t let a second let alone an entire day go to waste. That is how much work we have and we are all busy doing that. We will come very soon.” This announcement by Yash has left his fans elated and curious for Yash 19.

A report in Pinkvilla said that this film could be with National Award-Winning director Geethu Mohandas. A source said, “The expectations are sky high from Yash, however, he has followed his heart and is on the verge of signing a story that justifies the hype rather than chasing budgets and big names. The Geethu Mohandas film is expected to be announced within the next 30 days. It’s in the advanced stage of discussion at the moment and everything is expected to hopefully be locked in a fortnight.”
