On Tuesday, Zanai took to Instagram to share a touching video of Asha singing “Dil Cheez Kya Hai” while looking at her, along with a heartfelt note. She wrote, “As I wake up this morning, I realise I have lost my partner in crime, my best friend — the person who completed my world and was the first to hold me when I was born. What do I do now? Who am I supposed to wake up and hug or have chai with? Who’s going to be waiting for me every day when I come home, or crack lame jokes with?”

She urged everyone to remember her grandmother as a woman full of life and laughter. Zanai said, “These are just a few memories, but to all who feel this loss with me, remember that she was the epitome of LIFE and LAUGHTER. If you must remember her, remember her that way! She’s watching over us, especially her family, and I believe she’ll come back to me very soon — because that’s what she promised and always told me.”

Concluding her tribute, Zanai shared, “I have lost the love of my life, and there’s no greater grief. I urge everyone to live life to the fullest and celebrate her beautiful spirit. I love you, Ashaai. Goodbye for now, my love. I know you’ll always be with me, just waiting to come back and hug me again. PS: This video is a personal joke between us from every event we attended.”

About Asha Bhosle’s Passing

Asha Bhosle, a legendary figure who shaped Hindi music and captivated generations, passed away due to multiple organ failure on April 12. Just a day prior, she was hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital after suffering from cardiac and respiratory issues. She was 92. Her sudden departure left the entire film and music industry in deep mourning.

On Monday, Asha Bhosle was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park Crematorium in Mumbai. Several celebrities, including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Aamir Khan, and others, attended her funeral. Zanai was seen breaking down in tears amid the sombre ceremony, while fellow mourners consoled her.
