Runway 34 Box Office: Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan starrer shows good growth in Day 2 collections

The movie Runway 34 has shown good growth at the box office, on the second day of its release. The movie Runway 34, directed by Ajay Devgn was released in theatres on Friday, April 29. On its Day 2 at the box office, the Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh movie made decent collections. Runway 34 had opened with collections of 3 crore nett approx at the box office, on day one of its releases. On the second day, on the first Saturday, the Ajay Devgn directorial showed a growth of about 50%.

A Box Office India report said that the Amitabh Bachchan starrer made a collection of 4.50 crore nett at the box office. The Rakul Preet Singh movie has made a total collection of over 7 crore nett in the two days of its release. The report mentioned that the trend of the movie is a little lower than that of Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey, which was released on April 22.

According to the report, “Runway 34 managed to show some good growth of around 50% on Saturday but with such a low starting point it probably needed more. The trend of the film is similar to last weeks Jersey though at a little lower level. That film could not consolidate its Saturday growth on Sunday as Sunday was pretty much flat.”

Day 1 – Friday – 3,00,00,000 apprx

Day 2 – Saturday – 4,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 7,50,00,000 apprx

As per the report, “Runway needs to show another good upturn on Sunday if it is to have any chenac to get some benefit of the Eid period. The film should go ahead of Heropanti 2 today.”

Meanwhile, the movie was directed by Ajay and also features him playing the role of Captain Vikrant Khanna. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh.

Bollywood Bubble gave the movie Runway 34 a rating of 3.5 stars in its review.
