Actor Abhishek Kumaarr, known for his work in Dilsitaa, Ishq Vishk Rebound (2024), and the popular television show Kumkum Bhagya (2014), is all set to step into an exciting new chapter of his career with the sequel to the iconic thriller 100 Days. The original film, a cult classic, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of movie lovers, and Abhishek feels honoured to carry forward its legacy.

Talking about taking on the lead role in such a celebrated story, Abhishek says, “No, it’s not pressure — it’s actually a responsibility. The original film is already critically acclaimed and loved by the audience, so for me, it’s about taking that legacy forward. I don’t look at it as pressure; I see it as a positive challenge. My focus is simply to step into the character and narrate the story in my own way, so that the audience connects with us the same way they connected with the original film.”
The actor admits that being a part of this project itself is a major high point. “Honestly, just being a part of this project excites me the most. I’ve seen the film multiple times, and now getting the chance to be part of its sequel feels like a great opportunity to showcase my capacity as an actor. I’m extremely grateful to be part of this show, and even more so because one of the leading platforms is bringing it to the audience. I’m giving my 110% to 100 Days,” he shares.
Reflecting on how the digital space has changed the landscape of entertainment, Abhishek adds, “OTT has opened up huge opportunities for actors to explore great content. The way stories are told now is fast-paced and engaging — audiences really stay connected to every moment. For me, whether it’s OTT or cinema, both are equally important media. Every character gives us the chance to experience new emotions, and that’s the beauty of acting — you live so many lives through your roles.”
The actor reveals that he spent considerable time revisiting the original film for preparation. “I watched the original multiple times — frame by frame — to study it deeply. Like every actor, I asked myself what extra I could bring to it. There’s definitely an added element from my side that I’m sure the audience will enjoy,” he says with a smile.
Calling his character’s journey “layered and emotional,” Abhishek concludes, “The original 100 Days has a strong legacy — it’s one of the most memorable thrillers in the industry. The sequel connects with me on the same emotional level. We’re shooting it with fresh elements and a contemporary vision. The audience can expect the same kind of thrill, but presented in a newer, more intriguing way.”
