What Happened To Anurag Dobhal?
The incident took place on March 7, when Anurag Dobhal was driving his SUV while livestreaming on Instagram. Reports state that he was travelling at a high speed of about 140-150 kmph, on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, with thousands of viewers watching the broadcast in real time.
During the livestream, Dobhal appeared visibly distressed and reportedly told viewers that he felt completely alone before saying he was going for a “final ride.” Moments later, the vehicle crashed into a divider on the highway. Bystanders quickly rushed to help him and alerted authorities, after which he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors later confirmed that the YouTuber had suffered fractures and other injuries. Leading to his admission to the ICU for close monitoring.
Controversy Surrounding Family Dispute
The crash occurred shortly after Dobhal shared an emotional video on YouTube in which he accused members of his family of mental harassment related to his interfaith marriage with his wife, Ritika Chauhan. In the video, he described it as his “final” message and spoke about his struggles with depression.
However, his brother Kalam Dobhal later rejected the allegations, calling them one-sided and claiming the situation had been misrepresented publicly. The dispute soon sparked heated reactions online, with some fans reportedly gathering outside the family’s residence after the incident.
Meanwhile, Dobhal’s wife, Ritika Chauhan, also shared emotional posts on social media following the accident. Urging people not to believe everything circulating online and the importance of focusing on real-life values rather than social media. While the controversy continues to unfold, Dobhal’s team has asked the public to prioritise his health and recovery. With the YouTuber now out of the ICU, fans have flooded social media with messages wishing him a speedy recovery.
