Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has now entered the 100-crore club in its opening weekend. The film has scored a century in just 3 days, thus emerging as one of Bollywood’s highest opening weekend grossers. Ayan Mukerji’s directorial venture collected Rs 105.50 crores on its first opening weekend. During the course, Brahmastra has now beaten Aamir Khan starrer Dangal and even Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We jotted down a list of top the Bollywood highest opening movies.

1. KGF 2 – Rs 140.45 crores

Yash starrer KGF 2 is one of the biggest hits of 2022. In fact, the film crossed the 100 crore mark in not just three days but in 2 days which was quite impressive. However, the lifetime collection of KGF Chapter 2 was Rs 434.70 crores.

2. Baahubali – The Conclusion – Rs 127.28 crores

Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamanaah starrer Baahubali 2 needs no introduction, it was an all-time blockbuster film. The period drama entered the Rs 100 crore club in just 3 days. SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture (the Hindi version) collected Rs 510.99 in its lifetime business. However, the film collected over Rs 1000 crores in all languages.

3. Sanju – Rs 119.33 crores

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju found a spot in the 100-crore club in just 3 days. The film’s lifetime business is Rs 342.53 crores. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie was based on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. The film also starred Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza and Anushka Sharma.

4. Tiger Zinda Hai – Rs 114.91 crores

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai became the fastest 100-crore movie in just three days. The film earned Rs 114.91 crores in its opening weekend and the lifetime collection was Rs 339.16 crores. The action flick was a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger which Kabir Khan helmed while the sequel was by Ali Abbas Zafar. Tiger 3, the third instalment will be released in 2023.

5. Sultan – Rs 105.55 crores

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan scored a century in just 3 days. In its opening weekend, the movie raked in Rs 105.55 crores while it made Rs 300.45 crores overall.

6. Brahmastra – Rs 105.50 crores

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is the latest one to emerge as the highest opening weekend grossing film. In this first weekend, the fantasy drama minted Rs 105.50 crores. However, the film made Rs 120 crores in all languages.

7. Dangal – Rs 104.53 crores

Aamir Khan starrer Dangal earned Rs 104.53 crores in just 3 days. The movie’s lifetime business is Rs 387.38 crores. It was a biopic that was based on the life of Phogat girls who earned gold at the Olympics.

8. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Rs 101.42 crores

Helmed by Kabir Khan, the movie also found a spot at the 100 crore club after 3 days, bringing in Rs 101.42 crores on its opening weekend. The movie’s lifetime business is Rs 320.34 crores.

9. Race 3 – Rs 100.64 crores

Salman Khan and Bobby Deol starrer Race 3 which was also one of the Bollywood highest opening movies earned Rs 100.64 crores in just 3 days. Though the movie tanked at the box office, it managed to collect Rs 166.40 overall.

10. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – Rs 129.77 crores

Another film by Salman Khan that became the highest opening weekend grosser is Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which managed to collect Rs 129.77 crores in just 3 days. The lifetime collection of the movie was Rs 210.16 crores.
