It’s just been three days since Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara was released. And needless to say, Jawan is on a record-breaking spree. Jawan has collected Rs 68.72 crore nett in India on its third day at the box office. The action flick’s total has come to Rs 180.45 crore. Going with the latest collections, Jawan is the highest single-day collection, thus, creating a history.

Jawan earned more than it did on its opening day. Interestingly, Jawan became the highest opener of 2023 and of all time and hence, it clocks in the highest single-day collection ever. Moreover, Jawan has beaten Pathaan day 3 collections at the box office. SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer earned Rs 161 crore on day 3 (Wed-Fri) whereas Jawan collected Rs 180.45 crores.

Thursday – Day 1: Rs 65.50 crore

Friday – Day 2: Rs 46.23 crore

Saturday – Day 3: Rs 68.72 crore

Total: Rs 180.45 crore

Mahesh Babu praised Jawan

Right after the release, Mahesh Babu took to Twitter (X) and lauded Atlee and SRK. He wrote, “#Jawan… Blockbuster cinema. @Atlee_dir delivers king size entertainment with the King himself!! Comes up with his career’s best film. The aura, charisma and screen presence of @iamsrk are unmatched. He’s on fire here!! Jawan will break his own records… how cool is that!! Stuff of the legends.”

Both Atlee and Shah Rukh reacted to his post with utmost warmth. Jawan director wrote, “These words coming from you has really made my day, sir. Means a lot to us. Love you sir, see you soon sir.

Whereas the Pathaan star tweeted, “Thank you so much. Everyone is so thrilled you liked it. Big love to you and family. Very encouraging to hear your kind words. Will keep working harder now to entertain. Love you my friend.”

Directed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Ridhi Dogra. The movie also has Deepika Padukone in a cameo.
