Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Day 3: Ayushmann Khurana’s Situational Comedy Wraps Opening Weekend; Grosses Over Rs 24 Cr

The romantic comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi, continues its steady run at the box office despite receiving mixed audience reactions. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, has shown growth over its opening weekend but still trails behind the benchmark set by the original 2019 film.

On Day 1, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do opened with Rs 4 crore at the box office. On Day 2, it recorded slight growth and collected Rs 5.75 crore. By Day 3, the film saw a stronger jump of over 34% and earned Rs 7.75 crore net across 6,350 shows.

With this, the total India net collection stands at Rs 17.50 crore. The India gross collection has reached approximately Rs 21 crore. Meanwhile, Overseas, the film collected Rs 1.25 Cr on Day 3, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 3.25 Cr so far. This pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs 24.25 Cr.

The day-wise India net breakdown shows a steady upward trend reflects improving audience traction over the opening weekend, despite mixed word-of-mouth.

However, when compared to the 2019 original Pati Patni Aur Woh, the sequel falls behind. The earlier film, starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday, earned Rs 14.51 crore on Day 3 alone. Its opening day stood at Rs 9.10 crore, while Day 2 brought in Rs 12.33 crore, taking its three-day total to Rs 35.94 crore.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do also features Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vishal Vashishtha, Guneet Singh Sodhi, Durgesh Kumar, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Shireesh Kumar Sharma and Deepika Amin. The film was released in theatres on May 15, 2026.

Overall, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do shows a gradual upward trend at the box office. However, its opening weekend performance remains below the original film’s benchmark, even as collections continue to grow.
