Toxic Box Office Day 3 (Worldwide): Yash’s Gangster Drama Crosses Rs 200 Cr Mark Despite Further Domestic Dip

As per the latest box office report by trade website Sacnilk, Toxic has witnessed a further dip domestically compared to Thursday. According to their report, the film collected a net of Rs 26.60 Cr across 19,390 shows on Day 3 (Friday) in India. Paired with its earlier totals, the film’s current domestic net amounts to an impressive Rs 165.35 crore.

Day-wise Breakdown

Overseas, the film collected Rs 4.00 Cr on Day 3, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 23.75 crore. Combining the film’s international and India gross (Rs 197.70 crore), the film’s worldwide gross collection amounts to Rs 221.45 crore. This is an impressive number for just 3 days. With the weekend now underway, it’s to be seen if Toxic picks up at the domestic box office and how much it will end it extended opening week at.

About The Film

Co-written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Mohandas. The gangster drama stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in lead roles. The period action flick also stars Akshay Oberoi, Darrell D’Silva, Sudev Nair and Sanjeeda Sheikh as pivotal characters.

In its review, Bollywood Bubble wrote, “Yash’s acting as Raya and Rumi aka Ticket, is top notch. He brings a madness unlike anything we’ve seen on the big screen before. The film will break all pre conceived ideas of the women in the film being only eye candy; each of the five ladies – Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, have substance and take a stand while adding glamour.
