Abhishek Agarwal On Mithun Chakraborty’s Casting In The Bengal Files
Talkign about Mithun Chakraborty’s character in the film and how well he essayed the part, producer Abhishek Agarwal said, “He is outstanding. I don’t have words to say about his performance or his acting. I can just say that he is a method actor and he’s a legend, and I don’t know if there would be actors like him in the future.”
Abhishek continued, “However much time I have spent with him, I have learnt how to be humble despite being a legend, whether it’s his staff, the crew on set, or everyone. His nature is very unique. His acting… When he was acting… since it’s only expressions, given his character can’t speak as his tongue is chopped… He has performed the part so easily. He doesn’t need any explanation or learning. You just have to tell him what to do and he’ll do it”
When asked if Mithun Chakraborty was the first choice for the film or if any actor from the Bengali film industry was in the running to play the role, the producer immediately replied, “He was the first choice.”
