EXCLUSIVE: Adhyayan Suman Recalls Being Refused By Designer For Branded Outfits; Says, “They Said, I Am Not An A-Grade Star”

Adhyayan Suman is an actor and singer who appears in Hindi-language films. He debuted in 2008 with Haal–e–dil. His second film was Raaz – The Mystery Continues, was a commercial success. He had an older brother, Aayush, who died in 1994. His father publicly revealed that Adhyayan went through a phase of depression and he was having suicidal thoughts, as Bollywood created a lot of hurdles for him.

Adhyayan Suman Reveals Being Categorised By Designer

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Adhyayan Suman recalled an incident where a designer refused to give him clothes because he wasn’t an A-lister. He said, “The subconscious reason to launch the brand was for one of my film premieres by a very big designer. I was told I’m not an A-grade star. They said I’m not an A-grade star, usko kapde nahi de sakte humlog. And I held that.”

He further added, “I said that you don’t wanna give me clothes because I am not an A-lister. Who are you to put me in the category of A-lister or B-lister? I am an actor. I came to you because I like your clothes, and I requested that you dress me up. And this is what the PR says.”

Adhyayan’s Recent Projects

On the work front, Adhyayan was last seen in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The cast included Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Taha Shah Badussha. It was produced by Bhansali Productions. He was also a part of Aashram season 3. The show stars Bobby Deol in the lead role. The crime drama web series was directed by Prakash Jha and produced by Prakash Jha under Prakash Jha Productions.
