Aditi Bhatia Responds To The Kerala Story 2 Labelled As A ‘Hate-Driven Film’
When asked about The Kerala Story 2 being labelled as a hate-driven film, Aditi Bhatia responded, “I feel like woh jab promos aur trailer aaye tha tab ye notion zaroor tha. But it’s not a hate-driven film. It’s just talking about three women. Like koi biography banti hai kisi ke upar. Toh tab toh hum nahi bolte na ki ye kyun ban rahi hai. Humne un teen ladkiyon pe ek film banai hai. Isse koi aisa mudda nahi hai hate failane ka as such. Aur I think woh jab log film dekh ke bahar aaye hain tab unko samajh mein aaya hai ki it’s not a hate-driven film.”
She continued, “There are many instances in the film, jahan bola gaya hai ki ye film kisi ke dharm ke koi khilaf nahi hai. Ghatanaye bahut hi chhoti jagah par ho rahi hain. Toh in par light dali gayi hai through this film. Aur bas ussi par kahani based hai. Kisi pe nishana nahi lagaya is film ne. It’s just a way to talk about jinke saath yeh ho raha. So, I don’t understand why it’s thought of as a film ki yeh poore hi community ke liye hate hai. It’s not like that. Once people watch the film, they realize it’s not like that.”
