When asked if Hrithik Roshan would stammer during Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai shoot, Ameesha Patel shared, “Due diligence homework karke, Hrithik is a very confident, very competent actor. Aur agar woh kisi ko batate nahin, mujhe bhi nahin batate ki woh stammer karte hain, toh set par kabhi pata bhi nahin chalta. Aur kabhi unhone use rattne ki koshish bhi nahin ki. She added, “Aisa kabhi nahin laga ki na maine kuch ratta hai, na Hrithik ne lines seekhi hain. Hum improvise karke perform karte the. Hrithik is far too superior an actor to let any kind of disability come in the way. Toh na mujhe yeh baat pata thi, na kisi ko set par—he was so good about it.”

Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) is a blockbuster romantic thriller directed by Rakesh Roshan. It marked the Bollywood debuts of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel. Made on a budget of around Rs 10 crore, the film was a massive box office success. The movie’s success catapulted Hrithik Roshan to superstardom overnight and redefined the Bollywood hero image.

Hrithik played a double role as Rohit and Raj. The story revolves around Rohit, a poor singer, and Sonia, who fall in love.
