Animal box office prediction: Ranbir Kapoor heading for his biggest opener, trade experts opine

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to enthrall the audience with his never-seen-before raw, rugged, and fierce avatar in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles and is all set to release on 1st December. After the trailer was released, cinema lovers heaped praise on the captivating storyline, Ranbir’s look, and Bobby Deol’s character. Animal is poised to score one of the biggest advance bookings of all time as far as feature films are concerned as it has minted close to Rs 14 crores at the box office so far. As per predictions by trade experts, Animal is expected to create new records at the box office by emerging as Ranbir’s biggest opener as well.

Animal first day box office prediction

Animal has all the potential to emerge as the biggest opener of RK. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, prominent trade experts shared their thoughts on the opening day collection.

Trade expert Akshaye Rathi predicts, “I think it should be above 30 crore day one for domestic India, all languages included.”

He also called Ranbir the biggest superstar of his generation and said, “It’s really good to see Ranbir Kapoor. I truly believe he is the biggest superstar of his generation. With a degree of consistency, he has started doing mainstream hardcore commercial sales. He was not doing it earlier in his career. And I truly think that is what will unlock his potential as a star and justify his stardom to the industry. Because the industry truly needs stars in the next generation who are bankable at the box office drawing those 30 to 40 crore openings. Ranbir is one of the few guys who has it in him. He can do that with the right kind of films. And to see him do that and to see the results of it in the advanced bookings and opening figures is truly heartwarming.”

While Producer and Film Business expert Girish Johar exulted, “I’m expecting a fantastic start to Animal. We all know Ranbir Kapoor has huge starts. What many stars need is a holiday start for their films which Ranbir Kapoor does not. His regular start, and non-holiday starts are at par, with the top openers. Ranbir Kapoor has a penchant for, you know, breaking the norms and with Animal he is going to have a fantastic start. I’m expecting anywhere above 35 to 40 crores on day one, despite being very long and A rated film.”

Talking about Animal, the duration of the movie is 3 hours 23 minutes with CBFC suggesting 5 modifications. The movie is A rated. It will be released alongside Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur at the box office.
