EXCLUSIVE: Bismil Manifests Working With AR Rahman; Teases Collaboration With Raftaar

Singer Bismil has opened up about his musical inspirations, admiration for contemporary rap culture, and his dream collaborations. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he expressed his fondness for rap. He revealed that rapper Raftaar remains his favourite artist in the genre and even hinted at an unexpected upcoming project with him. Bismil also shared an ambitious wishlist of collaborations, naming music legends such as A.R. Rahman, John Mayer, Adele, The Weeknd, Shreya Ghoshal, and Sonu Nigam. Bismil Teases Collaboration With Raftaar

When asked about his views on today’s rap culture, Bismil said, “Rap mujhe kaafi pasand hai. Mere liye Raftaar bhai is my favourite. Raftaar bhai bahut hi badhiya rap karte hain, aur bahut jald unke saath kuch aane bhi wala hai, jo logon ne expect nahi kiya hoga. Rap culture is really good. Like, I personally like it.”

Bismil Wants To Work With AR Rahman

Speaking about whom he would want to collaborate with, the singer said, “Mere collaborations, main aapko sach bataun toh bahut saare hain, kyunki main bahut saare genres sunta hoon. Main bahut se doosre artists ko bhi sunta hoon jo India mein nahi hain. Toh mere collaborations ki wishlist yahi hai. Mujhe Rahman sahab ke saath ek khoobsurat sa gaana karna hai. Uske baad mujhe John Mayer ke saath ek gaana karna hai.”

He concluded, “Mujhe Adele ke saath ek gaana karna hai. You know, The Weeknd ke saath main collaborate karna chahta hoon. Shreya ji ke saath, Sonu ji ke saath — in sab ke saath. Toh yeh sab collaborations hain jinhe main karna chahta hoon. Aur mujhe pata hai ki agar main achhi tarah se koshish karunga, toh main zaroor kar paunga.”
