EXCLUSIVE: Chhorii 2 Director Vishal Furia Reveals How He Was Offered Kajol Starrer Maa By Ajay Devgn; Says, “He Has Been A Mentor Through…”

Chhorii 2 director Vishal Furia opened up about his supernatural thriller project Maa starring Kajol. He revealed that Ajay Devgn saw his work and approached him with the project. He expressed deep admiration for Devgn’s cinematic vision.

Vishal Furia Reveals Ma Is Under Pre-Production Stage

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Vishal stated that he was offered the Kajol starrer Maa by Ajay Devgn. Furia lauded Ajay Devgn and said, “I was offered that film by Ajay Devgn and I was grateful to be given that offer and obviously I took it up because of a dream to work with both of them Ajay Devgn and Kajol. So he is not in the film, but he is producing the film and he has been a mentor through the process.”

Speaking about the project he stated that he can not reveal much but said, “The film is still in the process of post-production.”

He also added that he dreams of writing a horror film specifically for Ajay Devgn someday and wishes to collaborate with him for an intense screenplay with his own expertise in the genre. Vishal hopes they collaborate soon on a chilling, impactful horror drama. He concluded, “Now that I have worked with Ajay Devgn, he has already done Shaitaan. He has a strong understanding of the genre and I hope I can  write a script for him someday and work with him as an actor. That also would be amazing.”

Vishal Furia’s Upcoming Chhorii 2

Chhorii 2 is helmed by Vishal Furia, and it brings back Nushrratt Bharuccha as Sakshi, joined by Soha Ali Khan in a pivotal role, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma.

Chhorii 2 is produced by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych, and Tamarisk Lane Production. It is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on 11th April 2025.
