Chitrangda Singh On Being Boxed After Doing Aao Raja Song As An Actor
When asked if it is difficult for actors to say NO to roles, Chitrangda Singh said, “No, you are absolutely right. Because if you speak too much, people will unnecessarily create a reputation for you. They will say, No, no, he’s just being too choosy. It’s not about being choosy. It’s about looking for the right work. If you want that same kind of work to keep coming again and again, you have to fit yourself into a certain box. If you did a song like Kundi Naa Khadakaao, then you only get offered similar roles like that of an item number/song or a part of a seductress. That’s when you have to say no. As an actor, you have to preserve your identity.”

Because if the right work isn’t being offered to you, it will eventually affect my longevity as an actor. People will forget you very quickly if your work becomes mediocre.”
