Sanjay Kapoor Recalls Working With Nana Patekar
When asked the cast of Sankalp about their experience working with Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor said, “Well, Nana ji ke saath is show mein mera kuch zyada kaam nahi hai. But I’ve worked with him earlier in a movie called Shakti. I produced a movie called ‘It’s My Life’ with Nana ji as the main character in the film. Very few people know this, but when I started my career, I did a movie called Raja with Madhuri Dixit. The original casting of the film, my elder brother was Nana Patekar in that. In fact, I’ve also shot a song with him. So I’ve worked with him for the last 32-33 years, which has been a great experience. It’s still going on. And we’ll be working a lot. 32 saal hogaye hain, 50 saal par phir interview karenge.”
Kubbra Sait Shares Her Experience Working With Nana Patekar
Talking about her experience working with Nana Patekar, Kubra Sait said, “Nana sir is just wonderful. He’s lovely. He’s incredible. There are so many things you can learn by just being in the presence who hone the craft. I think two things that stood out for me are that one- Nana Sir is such a professional actor, and such a giving actor and such a caring actor that he’s not bound by timelines. He’s called on sets, he comes on sets, and he only leaves when it’s pack up. And this I’ve experienced time and again, which for me was a new ethic.”
She further added, “You see a senior actor live up to that kind of work ethic, big learning for me. There was this other thing that I noticed, at the end of the night, Nana sir would get his script, and he would write his script down with his own hands. And I’ve seen his handwriting, and he would only memorise the lines when you would see him writing. I learn by writing my lines as well. Especially when there’s so much Hindi in the show. Which is amazing and a very big challenge. So I’ve learnt a lot from Nana sir. He’s a great musician if you don’t know that. And he’s a great storyteller.”
Kranti Prakash Jha Talks About His Experience Working With Nana Patekar
Sharing his experience working with the veteran actor, Kranti Prakash Jha said, “Kisi bhi insaan ka swabhav uske vyavahar se pata chalta hai. Toh mujhe aisa lagta hai ki Mera saubhagya tha ki mera pehle scene joh hai Nana sir ke saath aur jha sir ke saath tha. Aur dono ne milke jis tarah se mujhse woh scene karwaya, main hamesha hi bohot kritagya rahunga. Aur mere liye yeh saubhagya ki baat thi ek hi saath mera sapna poora hua dono ke saath kaam karne ka.”
The actor continued, “Aur bataur insaan, kalakaar, nirdeshan ki toh main baat kar bhi nahi raha. Par bataur insaan aapko pata chalta hai ki kaun kisse kis tarah ki baat cheet karta hai. Apne kalakaro ko, ya kisi bhi insaan ko itna sneh dena, pack up ke baad logo ke liye khana banana, sabko acche se prachur matra mein bhar pet khana khilana, yeh mujhe lagta hai ki insaan ka swabhav batata hai ki woh kitne mahaan hai. Kitne acche kalakar hai aur kitne acche insaan hai.”
