Welcome 4 CONFIRMED; Producer Firoz Nadiadwala Hints At More Villains In Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Caper

Ahead of the theatrical release of Welcome To The Jungle, the makers are also gearing up to revive the franchise with a fourth instalment. It shall feature Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, and Anil Kapoor. Filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala has now revealed the reasons behind the timing of Welcome To The Jungle’s release and who will be the villains of Welcome 4. The production team has officially confirmed that the fourth instalment is in progress. Recent reports suggested that Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal would reprise their roles, and now it’s confirmed.

Akshay Kumar’s Welcome 4 To Have More Villains?

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala shared with Bombay Times that work on Welcome 4 is already in full swing. He mentioned the script is in its advanced stages, with more details to be announced soon. Nadiadwala said, “We are in the advanced stages of scripting, and we will let you know earliest. However, I can say that the music and action that we are planning is going to be massive. We have thought of multi-cultural music with heads coming together from across continents like the Middle East, Africa, USA, and China.”

Regarding the storyline, Nadiadwala suggested that the film might bring back iconic characters along with multiple antagonists. He described, “The coming together of Uday bhai, Majnu Bhai, Dr. Ghungroo and more than one dons (there will be more than one antagonist) is probably going to be like 10 on the Richter scale. We are working towards locking them. Keeping the actors in mind, we are scripting and writing the scenes accordingly.”

About Welcome To The Jungle

Welcome To The Jungle features an ensemble cast and, despite rumours of delays, producer Nadiadwala dismissed such speculation. He confirmed the film is complete and praised the entire team for managing the scale of this large project. Nadiadwala said, “They were rumours for a reason. That’s the difference between a fact and a rumour. I would like to say the movie is complete and the entire credit goes to the team, which is headed by Mr Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty and MrAhmed Khan.”

He added, “They are the ones, along with the entire cast and crew, who made it happen. It’s not a small thing both in terms of planning it on a creative aspect, budgetary, expect logistical aspect and then finally to carry it all out. It is not an easy task to shoot with several army helicopters and hundreds of horses. For one of the songs we shot in Dubai, we used multi high end cars which cost at around 400 crores. But the movie is finished now, and is releasing on June 26th.”

As for the Welcome franchise, the original film was directed by Anees Bazmee. It starred Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor, and Nana Patekar. The film became a major comedy hit. Its sequel, Welcome Back, also directed by Bazmee, saw the same cast reprise their roles. The third instalment, Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, marked Akshay Kumar’s return to the franchise.
