EXCLUSIVE: Manoj Pahwa Confesses To Doing Films ONLY For Money; States, “Ghar Chalane Ke Liye Karna Padhta Hai”

Manoj Pahwa offers a candid take on the practical side of an actor’s life, admitting that he has done several films purely for financial reasons. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he reveals how certain projects were driven not by passion but by the need to support his family. Despite the motivations behind signing a film, Pahwa emphasizes that once on set, an actor’s integrity takes over. Manoj Pahwa Confesses To Doing Films Only For Money

When asked if he ever did a film only for money, Manoj Pahwa said, “Kuch nahi… bahut filmein ki hain. Bahut filmein sirf paison ke liye ki, kyunki ghar chalana bhi hota hai, sirf passion ke liye.”

Speaking of the film he shot in Australia or London, Manoj said, “Nahin, nahin, kai filmein,uska naam mat lo, kai filmein aisi hain jo maine location ki wajah se ki. Yeh toh ab naam mat lo, lekin haan, ek aadmi tha jo London, Australia kahin bhi le jaata tha ek mahine ke liye. Toh aap wahan jaake script padhoge, taiyaari karoge, paise bhi mil rahe hain — toh chalo, ghuma bhi lega. Aur jaise maine kaha, aap actor ho, jab set par jaoge, role karoge, toh aapke andar itna built-in ho chuka hota hai ki aap be-imani nahi karoge. Aap given circumstances aur given script mein apna best hi doge.”

He added, “But pehla decision yeh ho jaata tha — chalo bhai, ghoom ke aate hain. Aur main director-producer ko bol deta tha, ‘Bhai, main ek mahine ke liye ja raha hoon. Ghar par biwi-bachchon ko ration wagera dena hai… ek kaam karo, itne paise bank mein jama kara do, phir main aapke saath chalta hoon.’ Ek mahina rahoonga, phir main nishchint ho jaata tha. Unhone ghumaya, haan bhai, ghumaya… bahut maza aaya. Kuch filmein jaise aapne kaha, ghar chalane ke liye karni padti hain.”
