Neha Dhupia Bollywood Parents

At its heart, the conversation around parenting goes far beyond professions, fame or public perception. While addressing the stigma surrounding adoption in India, Netflix’s Single Papa also brings warmth, humour and relatability to the forefront. With a majority of the cast being parents in real life, the conversations naturally extend beyond the screen. In an exclusive fun segment with the cast, they were asked a simple yet intriguing question: What’s the difference between Bollywood parents and ‘normal’ parents? Read on to know what they had to say.

Bollywood Parents Vs Normal Parents: Is There Really Any Difference?

Reacting to the question, Neha Dhupia was quick to break the stereotype. “Normal parents jo karte hain, woh Bollywood ke parents bhi sab kuch karte hi hain,” she said, asserting that parenting remains the same regardless of profession or fame. She added that while people often assume celebrity parents live very different lives, the reality is far more ordinary.

Actor Manoj Pahwa chimed in with a candid reality check when asked whether Bollywood parents receive special treatment during school admissions. “Arrey bhai, humko line mein lagna padta hai, kyuki humpe aur bhi zyada nazar jaati hai ki ye actor hai toh isko zyada preference dere hai”, he exclaimed, adding that celebrities are often watched more closely to ensure they aren’t given undue preference. His response drew laughter while bursting a common myth.

Addressing the popular perception that Bollywood parents always have nannies running behind their children, Neha clarified that it depends entirely on individual circumstances. “It depends on which parents are working and which ones are at home,” she said, before joking, “Bollywood parents zyada ghar pe baithte hain, because kaam kam hai Bollywood mein,” sparking laughter on the set.

Despite the jokes and honest admissions, the conversation ended on a heartfelt note. Whether they belong to the film industry or not, the cast agreed that one thing remains constant: unconditional love for their children. And that, they said, is what truly connects all parents, regardless of fame or profession.
