EXCLUSIVE: Nikki Tamboli ADMITS Getting Affected By Judgements On Her Relationship With Arbaz Patel, Says, “I Respect His Religion And He Does Mine”

The friendship between Arbaz Patel and Nikki Tamboli garnered immense media attention while they were competing on Bigg Boss Marathi 5. The two have been strong even after the show ended and have confirmed being in a relationship. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Nikki reveals how life changed after falling in love with Arbaz and shares how she deals with judgements around their interfaith relationship.

Talking about how life has changed after Arbaz’s entry in her life, Nikki says, “He has been very supportive throughout my journey. Though I don’t want to talk about what happened in Bigg Boss Marathi house, I would admit that it’s true we had fights. He was against me, but at the same time he also loved and cared for me. In that house, everyone’s true colours come out. Maine bhi logo ke asli rang bahar laaye hai. But when our differences were resolved, he was very kind to me. And yes, I had the best time in Marathi Bigg Boss. Now when I did Celebrity Masterchef also, he was very supportive. Like every day, he used to message and call me to ask, “Did you wake up? You have to go,” and all of that. So yes, I’m really blessed.”

Nikki on dealing with judgements over relationship

When asked if she was ever affected by judgements around her relationship with Arbaz, she admits, “Mere pass bhi toh dil hai. Affect mujhe bahut jyada hua because I am an overthinker. But maine apne aap ko sambhala. (I have a heart too. It affected me a lot because I’m an overthinker. But I pulled myself together). And Mom, Dad, even Arbaaz — these people supported me emotionally and mentally. They were there physically for me, sitting next to me, explaining things to me. But in spite of that, in the end, I will go and sleep alone. I have to feel for myself what is right and what is wrong. And then I analyzed it all, and it took time to build trust and forgive.”

She added, “Wo Kehte hai na ‘time heal people’. Yeh baat jitni sach hai utni sach bhi nahi hai. Because I constantly used to say, “When will I heal? But then I kept talking to my parents, Arbaz, gave interviews and all of that. And now I am calm at peace.”

We further asked Nikki about how she and Arbaz respect each other’s religion and rituals. She said, “I respect his religion and he does mine. His family members, especially his dad speak fluent Marathi. Aur hum dono ka hamesha se yahi raha hai ki mutual respect should be there no matter what. I know that I have an upper hand and he knows that very well. Even if she has an upper hand, I will stand on my own feet. She is there like a guardian angel for me in my life, but main khud se karoonga — uski bhi woh zidd hai. He wants himself to be a man of the house and do every possible thing for me and his family. “
