EXCLUSIVE: Poonam Pandey ADMITS The Violence In Her Short-Lived Marriage To Sam Bombay Still Effects Her; Reveals If She’ll Ever Re-Marry Or Find Love

Poonam Pandey married her boyfriend of 3 years, Sam Ahmed Bombay on 10th September 2020. She alleged that he is an abusive man, who has threatened, ass*ulted and m*lested her. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Poonam Pandey shared why she never spoke about her marriage to Sam Ahmed Bombay publicly before.

Poonam Pandey On The Accusations She Made On Ex-Husband Sam Ahmed Bombay

During the conversation, Poonam opened up about how her marriage became a public joke, especially after she accused her ex-husband, Sam Ahmed Bombay, of being violent, and m*lesting, threatening and ass*ulting her. She simply said, “Everyone was around me just to have some money from me. I mean, it’s difficult. I (still) cannot watch some strong films.”

Talking about the one thing that helped her through that phase, the actress stated, “I talk to plants, the universe… put my energy out and say, ‘Hey, help me’. It’s always been helpful. The universe has always been there for me, got me out. Brain haemorrhage se kitne log bahaar aake, aise baithke aur bhi kaam kar sakte hai. Again, I feel sorry for whoever must have gone through this. But in my case, main bachi hoon aur thik thaak hoon.”

When asked if she would ever settle in life again, Poonam answered, “Woh himmat nahi hai. Nahi nahi, Jai Ram Ji ki. Woh nahi chahiye. Main akeli khush hoon. Apne liye khaana bana lungi main. Main apne dog ke saath hoon, mast life hai.” She continued, “Woh stress chahiye hi kyu? You will love someone and then that person will take you for granted… It’s not a good space. You lose self-respect. And why should you lose self-respect?”

Poonam Pandey On Violence In Her Marriage

Talking about the violence in her marriage, Poonam admitted it happened because she was in love and let them have the upper hand in the relationship. She said, “Completely. I was forgiving and forgiving and forgiving. I was stupid. Now that I look back, I genuinely call myself stupid… Tumhari sooj bhuj sab gayab ho jaati hai. Tumhe kuch samajh hi nahi aata hai… It’s also a very scary space to be in. Love is one of the strongest emotions, but if you invest that in the wrong person, then boss, tumhari band bajayegi. So you have to be very careful. And in case, one day I get married – 100% it will be after I’m 40, I don’t think I’ll trust anybody till then. And why should I trust anyone? The minute I trusted someone, I’ve only gotten something wrong.”

Poonam Pandey On Her Marriage Turning Into A Media Circus

Talking about how her marriage and the violence she suffered in it turned into a media circus, Poonam said in Hindi, “That’s why for the longest I never spoke about it.” She continued, “I knew if I spoke about it, people would say, ‘She’s doing this for publicity only.’ Matlab main insaan toh hoon hi nahi na, mere andar feelings toh hai hi nahi.”

Adding that she had made things a big issue in the past, Ms Pandey continued, “Par humare saath bhi bura ho sakta hai. We are humans. People on the internet are very cruel; trolls are very cruel. They don’t understand people; they don’t understand the circumstances an individual is going through. Ghanta knowledge hai inhe. They go out and write anything.”
