EXCLUSIVE: Poonam Pandey ADMITS To Having Trust Issues; Reveals, “People Made A Sh*tload Of Money Out Of Me”

Poonam Pandey made her acting debut in Bollywood with Nasha (2013). She was in a relationship for 3 years with filmmaker Sam Ahmed Bombay. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in September 2020. The actresses accused the Nigodi Kaisi Jawaani Hai director of threatening her, m*lestation and ass*ult. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Poonam Pandey reflects on her trust issues after marriage and feels that people only used her for money.

Poonam Pandey Opens Up On Dealing With Trust Issues

Speaking about whether she ever felt exploited by those close to her and that they used her only to gain fame from the ‘Poonam Pandey’ brand, the actress bluntly replied, “Yes.” She further elaborated, “There are certain people who have come into my life and made a sh*tload of money out of me. I will not name them, but yes, there are people.”

When asked if this betrayal has made her weary of trusting people, “Trust issues… I’ve been dealing with that. I have big (trust issues), I can’t trust anyone.” She continued in a mix of Hindi and English, saying, “There was a point where I was like, ‘God, is every human being selfish? Does everyone want something out of you? Or are they your friends because they want something out of you? It’s so sad. But I’ve been lucked out…”

About Poonam Pandey’s Marraige

Poonam Pandey’s marriage to Sam Bombay in 2020 was short-lived and tumultuous, marked by serious allegations of domestic violence. The couple married in September 2020. Pandey filed a complaint accusing Bombay of m*lestation, threats, and ass*ult, leading to his arrest. Pandey has publicly spoken about enduring repeated abuse. It allegedly caused a brain hemorrhage and loss of her sense of smell. Although they initially separated, there were attempts at reconciliation. As of March 2025, Pandey remains single, citing trust issues. Sam Ahmed Bombay has stated they are not divorced as of February 2024.
