Riddhi Kumar has steadily built an impressive career with her strong screen presence and thoughtful choice of roles, and in recently-released The Raja Saab, she once again proves her mettle. Despite being a large-scale multi-starrer led by Prabhas, the actress holds her own with a performance that adds emotional depth to the film. Riddhi’s journey reflects confidence, growth, and an ability to shine even in big ensemble projects.
Riddhi Kumar: The Raja Saab Had Elements Of Almost Every Genre
Talking about what made her say yes to The Raja Saab, Riddhi Kumar admits that the scale of the project is what instantly caught her attention. She said, “It is a multi-starrer and a dream project for any artist, which was one of the first things that attracted me to the film.” However, it wasn’t just the star power that convinced her. She explained, “What I also really liked was the way the script was written and narrated because it had elements of almost every genre.”
Riddhi adds that the film’s unique mix of genres stood out for her. She shared, “There’s horror, comedy, action, romance and more than that, a fantasy world that I hadn’t seen on screen before. It was extremely creative and technically sound.” For Riddhi, the storytelling played a huge role in making her decision.
Riddhi On Working With Prabhas Again
Working with Prabhas again was another special reason for her to say yes to the film. She shared, “I had already worked with Prabhas before and had been a huge fan of him post Baahubali. This time, I had the opportunity to act as his co-star, and that was extremely special.”
For those who don’t know, Riddhi plays Anitha in the film – a character she feels deeply connected to. Talking about her character, Riddhi revealed, “Anitha gets introduced in the very beginning and has a very important arc throughout with Raju. What I really liked about her was how expressive she is, and that is how I see myself as well, and we instantly connected.”
With a strong character, a creative script, and a massive canvas, The Raja Saab marks another exciting chapter in Riddhi Kumar’s evolving journey.
