EXCLUSIVE: Saiyami Kher Recalls Hearing SHOCKING Stories Of Abhishek Bachchan Being Replaced Overnight; Says, “He’s Never Spoken About It—Because…”

Saiyami Kher is an actress who primarily works in Hindi and Telugu films. Kher made her acting debut with the Telugu film Rey (2015) and her Hindi debut with Mirzya (2016), for which she received the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female. Kher has since appeared in Mauli (2018), Choked (2020), Wild Dog (2021) and Ghoomer (2023). She has also starred in the streaming series Special OPS (2020) and Faadu (2022). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Saiyami Kher recalled her experience working with Abhishek Bachchan in Ghoomer and Sunny Deol in JAAT.

Saiyami Kher Shares Her Experience Working With Abhishek Bachchan

When asked how it is working with stars from film families like Sunny Deol in JAAT and Abhishek Bachchan in Ghoomer, the actress answered, “So, AB is somebody I’ve always spoken about very fondly—because I did Breath and then Ghoomer with him. I spent like four years across three projects with him, and I keep saying that he is the most well-brought-up person I’ve met—nepo or no nepo, whatever. He’s just the most well-brought-up person. He makes fun of himself, which is the most endearing thing. If you see his interviews, especially when he talks about nepotism, he jokes about himself. And that, to me, shows how secure he is.”

She added, “There are very few actors who are that secure. And AB, for me, is one of the most secure human beings. That’s why I think he’s a very secure actor. We already have presumptions like, ‘Oh, you know, he’s had so many opportunities,’ and stuff like that, because of who he is. I mean, he comes from such a strong lineage. But the stories I’ve heard from him were shocking. Like how there were times when he didn’t even know he had been replaced, overnight. I was honestly shocked because I would’ve never imagined he’d gone through that kind of stuff. But he’s never spoken about it—because I guess he never felt the need to. He’s such a secure person that it’s like, ‘Okay, this happened. I’ve moved on.’ And he’s done over 80 films now. So yes, he’s a very secure person.”

Saiyami Kher On Working With Sunny Deol In JAAT

Speaking of working with Sunny Deol in JAAT, the actress revealed what kind of person he is. She said, “With Sunny, sir—the limited time we got together—he’s been around for so long, working. And for me, that was just the freshest thing I had heard. Because we’re so used to, you know, just going around socialising here and there—meeting this one, meeting that one. But here’s someone who said, ‘This is who I’ve been since I was young. I just like working and doing my thing.’ And he said, ‘You’ll never really see me at film parties because I’m very happy just doing what I do.’ So it was very refreshing to see someone like him, who’s been around for so long. Like I said, there are stories we know—and there are stories we don’t know of people.”
