Tinnu Anand Recalls When Amitabh Bachchan Went Bankrupt
Speaking of the change in the industry from a creative structure to a corporate one, Tinnu Anand shared, “Dekhiye, Amitabh Bachchan jab bankrupt hue the, bank ne unko wipe out kar diya. Woh bilkul zero ho gaye the. Unfortunately, main unke liye picture bana raha tha — Major Sahab. Aur mujhe maloom hai ki aaj tak bahut takleefon se picture bani hai. Jo-jo producers ke paas paise nahi hote, woh poori unit ko ek hi jagah hotels mein rakhte hain. Kya halat hoti hogi? Roz second day mera unit Madras ka tha; camera poora unit second day strike kar raha tha. ‘Humko paise nahi mil rahe the — daily milne chahiye the’. Woh bole, ‘Hum kaam pe nahi aayenge, kal kaam band hoga.’ Bahut pressure mein film bani hai.” (sic)
Tinnu Reveals Why He Will Not Direct Any Film
Tinnu also revealed why is decided to never direct any film. He said, “Maine kasam khayi thi Major Saab ke baad, ‘No more direction.’ The pain which I have gone through — no one can know. How will you know what kind of pain I went through? The heart pain, the heartburn, the insult that you bear from a unit. I cared, isiliye do thappad maarunga, theek ho jaayenge. I can’t do it because the production is not mine. Can’t risk ki kaam band ho jaaye because maine thappad maar diya. So I have to be careful about that. Also, I have to control my tongue. I have a bad tongue on the sets. Log door bhaag rahe hain mujhse.” (sic)
