7 Bollywood films we wish were directed by Karan Johar
‘Fitoor’ which was based on Charles Dickens’ novel ‘Great Expectations’ was not at all a great movie. However, a Karan Johar touch would have made the film far better than what it was.
After a small film like ‘Queen’, Vikas Bahl opted to make ‘Shaandaar’. The movie was slammed by critics as well as audiences. Karan knows how to make a shaandaar (big) film, so he would have directed ‘Shaandaar’ in a better way.
A lot of people stated that the emotions were missing in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Brothers’ which was a remake of ‘Warrior’. We are sure Karan would have touched the right chords of our hearts with his narration.
Many people stated that ‘Bombay Velvet’ lacked entertainment. Well, Karan made his acting debut with the film. But, his direction could have surely made the film entertaining and plus it would have been a new genre from Karan Johar.
'We Are Family'
‘We Are Family’ had everything that made it a Dharma Production film. It also made people cry in the theatres. However, it failed at the box-office. Karan’s name as the director would have surely done wonders for it.
‘Pyaar Impossible’ was a perfect candy floss love story which unfortunately didn’t make a mark at the box office or at the hearts of the audiences. May be Karan could have extracted a good performance from Uday Chopra and made this film watchable.
‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ was directed by Nikkhil Advani who was an assistant of Karan Johar. But, Nikkhil couldn’t successfully portray the six love stories in one film. Karan would have managed it quite well.
