Gone are the days when the audience would wait so eagerly for the release of extravaganza films, which featured B-town biggies. The evolution in the digital platforms has opened doors for many Bollywood actors. Celebs such as Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, and few others have revamped their acting career through their respective web shows. Like last year, this year too we have enough of A-listers who made their debut on OTT platforms.

Bollywood celebs who made their debut on OTT platforms

Sushant Singh Rajput

The talented actor of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput marked his digital debut with the film, ‘Drive’. The Tarun Mansukhani’s directorial was released on Netflix. Set in the backdrop of a manhunt for an infamous ‘King’ for a robbery of 300 Kilograms of gold, the film was produced by Karan Johar. Sadly, it couldn’t get good reviews.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez who was last seen sharing the screen space with Salman Khan in ‘Race 3’, has been missing from the silver screens. On the other side, she has become quite active on her social media handles. Jacqueline was recently seen in Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘Drive’.

Arjun Rampal

The handsome hunk of Bollywood, Arjun Rampal recently become a proud father to his little angel. The actor made his digital debut with the web series, ‘The Final Call’ which was released on ZEE5. The actor was seen portraying the role of captain Karan Sachdev, a pilot who is an ex-wing commander. The series started streaming online from February 22, 2019.

Sharman Joshi

Ekta Kapoor’s show, ‘Baarish’ premiered on her OTT platform, AltBalaji on April 25 this year. The talented Sharman Joshi was seen portraying the role of Anuj, who romanced TV actress Asha Negi. The actor made his debut on the digital platform with this show and made everyone fall in love with his acting.

 

Varun Sharma

The ‘Fukrey‘ fame, Varun Sharma made his digital debut as a host with the show ‘Bollywood Buzzinga’ that is streaming on MX Player. It is a Bollywood quiz show, where the participants get tested for their Bollywood IQ.

Adah Sharma

Adah Sharma who was recently seen sharing the screen space with Vidyut Jammwal in ‘Commando 3’, made her digital debut with the film, ‘Moh’ which started streaming on ZEE5 from April 4, 2019.

Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi is currently gearing up for the release of his film, ‘Chehre’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The actor made his digital debut with Shah Rukh Khan‘s production venture ‘Bard Of Blood’ recently. The web series started streaming on Netflix from September 27. The web series is an officialĀ adaptation of Bilal Siddiqui’s book by the same name.

Sobhita Dhulipala

B-town beauty, Sobhita Dhulipala made her digital debut with the popular web series, ‘Made In Heaven’ which started streaming on Amazon Prime from March 8, 2019. Her recent appearance was in ‘The Body’ that also starred Emraan Hashmi and Rishi Kapoor .Ā 

 

Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza made her digital debut with television actor, Mohit Raina, in the web series ‘Kaafir’. The show started streaming on ZEE5 from June 15 this year.

Huma Qureshi

The ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actress, Huma Qureshi marked her digital debut with Netflix’s mini-series ‘Leila’, which started streaming online from June 14 this year. The actress was seen portraying the role of Shalini, who tries to find her missing daughter.
